Alejandra Aranguren Alonso

Engineering Associate

Alejandra Aranguren Alonso is an Engineering analyst intern at the Center for Community Energy. His main responsibilities include developing and analyzing financial and engineering models for solar photovoltaic projects. The first job she completed was a solar carport.

Alejandra graduated in B. E. in Industrial Engineering from Comillas PonXfical University in Madrid and is currently studying towards a B. S. in Business Management and a master’s in Industrial Engineering. She has experience as a financial analyst in a small company based in Madrid, where she managed and analyzed the financial activities together with the costs associated with the business activities. Moreover, she registered accounting operations and developed management reports as well as budgets for decision-making. With regards to her engineering experience, she worked as an intern in the Infrastructure Department and Security OperaXons Center for Viewnext, an IBM subsidiary.

Alejandra believes that our planet is now suffering a dreadful crisis, so the decarbonization of the electrical system is a ma^er of concern. A sustainable and high-quality supply of energy has become a must in today’s world. Therefore, the introduction of new distributed resources is essential to achieve the zero-emissions goal by 2040. Having said this, she would like to work on engineering and financiall projects whose main focus is economic and environmental sustainability.
