Ziyi Wang

Public Policy

Ziyi Wang is a graduate student at UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, pursuing a Master of Public Policy with a focus on energy systems, environmental policy, and data analysis. She is currently a Data Analyst Intern at the Center for Community Energy, where she works on modeling demand and pricing strategies for a proof-of-concept solar carport and EV charging project. 

Her previous experience includes working as a research intern at Peking University’s Climate Change and Energy Transition Program, where she contributed to projects on China’s energy consumption and helped organize public engagement. She also participated in national park fieldwork and academic competitions in China, focusing on the social impact of environmental policy reforms.

Originally from China, Ziyi is interested in contributing to fair, evidence-based energy policy that supports both environmental goals and community well-being. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, dancing, and swimming.
