Sachiko Garcia
Project Development and Outreach Manager
Sachiko Garcia is the Project Development and Outreach Manager at the Center for Community Energy in San Diego. She contributes to clean energy initiatives by identifying funding sources, including grants and private donors, and supporting the strategic management of cross-functional project teams. Her role bridges technical insight with organizational planning to advance energy solutions for local communities.
She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Originally from the Imperial Valley, an agricultural, low-income region heavily impacted by energy and environmental challenges, Sachiko developed a strong interest in how sustainable infrastructure can support underserved communities. Her academic background, along with experience in research and operational roles, has equipped her with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Sachiko is excited to be part of a forward-thinking organization and looks forward to continuing her work in the intersection of technology, sustainability, and strategic development in the energy sector. She aspires to apply her engineering knowledge to real-world projects that drive both economic and environmental success.
