Jay Klopfenstein

An educator by background, profession and passion, Jay retired from the Carlsbad School System as a “Teacher of the Year” in sciences.  He currently teaches computer science and environmental studies at the college level, concurrent with consulting and advising in financial planning, especially for retired teachers, and a long list of environmentally-focused public service work in Carlsbad, CA.  His passion for education has also led to multiple innovative grants in the sciences and considerable experience developing foundation- and grant-funded demonstrations (see for example “Clean Energy for Carlsbad”).
