Charlie Gillet
Data Analyst
Charlie is in his final year at UC San Diego, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science with a minor in Economics, and expects to graduate in June 2025. His academic focus has included machine learning, probabilistic modeling, data mining, and data visualization. Charlie has worked on projects involving the development of a 1.5 billion parameter vision-language model, predictive modeling for car prices, and the application of latent variable models for brain data analysis.
Charlie aspires to use data science and machine learning to drive innovation in fields like healthcare, sustainability, and education. He believes that combining technical skills with a mission-driven focus can create meaningful, positive change. In the future, Charlie hopes to build tools that make complex data more accessible and actionable to a wide range of communities.
In his free time, Charlie enjoys running, playing piano and viola, and dragon boat racing.
